DesignerPets is an independent UK business creating and sourcing distinctive accessories for much-loved pets. From handmade and bespoke pieces to upcycled designs, beautiful fabrics and, of course, a little sparkle, everything we offer is chosen or created with individuality in mind.
Because after all these years, we still believe the best things for our pets should be every bit as individual as they are.
HOW IT ALL BEGAN
DesignerPets began with something very simple: a love of animals and the desire to find beautiful, distinctive things for them.
Back then, the glamorous collars and stylish pet accessories we take for granted today were surprisingly difficult to find in the UK. Much more seemed to be available overseas — particularly in America — and Kate found herself searching for something a little more special for her much-loved Chihuahua, Lord Barrington, or Barry as everyone knew him.
Barry was far more than a pet. He was family, and his personality and charm became part of the inspiration behind what DesignerPets would eventually become.
What began with a search for something different grew into an idea of its own — creating and finding stylish, individual pieces for other people who felt exactly the same way about their pets.
Many years later, that idea is still at the heart of DesignerPets. The business has changed and evolved along the way, but the love of creating something special hasn’t.
And, as it turns out, there’s quite a story behind how we got from Barry to here…
